Hi Lazlo, Thanks for advise. Apart from my brief SAP exposure, 10+ years ago, as SAP User while working in a petrochemical process plant, on SAP's SD/LE modules and a bit on MM and PS modules; I feel I have a lot of IT ground to cover, because a SAP Basis Administrator, should have at least some if not most of the following IT skills (as per a local recruiter's website advert): 1)network technologies and protocols; 2)SAP application administration work; 3)SAP performance analysis and tuning; 4)database administration in relation to SAP applications; 5)SQL performance analysis and tuning; 6)general basis administration; 7)Operating systems (UNIX, Linux) So what among the above should be first focus?
